�This course was designed as an instructional primer for Construction Professionals to educate on the federal regulations governing intellectual property and its protection. Design and construction professionals have an inherent position in experimenting with new materials, exploring various techniques to achieve a desired result, and implementing progressive technology to streamline work activities. It is important that these professionals understand how to patent and/or copyright their ideas and trademark commercial logos and slogans. The laws governing intellectual property are dense and confusing; this instructional primer will provide a basic level of understanding for licensees who want to learn more about patents, trademarks and copyrights and the protection of intellectual property.
