This course is designed to provide engineers with pertinent information regarding electrical safety as outlined by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The course will enable the student to recognize, evaluate, and control hazards associated with electrical work by describing the four main types of electrical injuries and outlining the best approaches to work safely. Numerous Case Studies will be illustrated to reinforce the material will real-world examples.
